Application Notes
Owing to its high magnification factor the HD23 will usually be resistance capacity coupled to the subsequent valve. Its low impedance however makes transformer coupling quite possible, and in this case 1-1.5 volts grid bias is desirable. The diode connected to pin No. 5 should be used for signal rectification.
