Application Notes
All apparatus should be arranged to allow free circulation of air around the Pliotron. The bulb becomes very hot during operation. For metal base, the metal shell must not be connected to any part of the circuit. Return leads should be connected to the center tap of the filament-transformer secondary. To prevent parasitic oscillations, a noninductive resistance of 10 to 100 ohms should be placed in series with each control-grid lead.
