Application Notes
Type 2Y2 is a half-wave rectifier for use in cathode-ray oscillograph and television circuits where high voltage and low current are required. It has been designed as a slow heater in order to avoid burning the cathode-ray tube viewing screen at one spot before the sweep oscillators start to function.
